Hi, I’m Rosalie Craven.
I am a newly qualified architectural interior designer based in London. I have recently graduated from The Inchbald School of design having completed a diploma in architectural interior design there. My interest in interior spaces and my enthusiasm for design comes in part from my love of art practice - drawing, watercolour, collage etc. and in part from my time in The Department of Art History, Curating and Visual Studies at The University of Birmingham where I completed a BA in history of art.
My Design Ethos
I am keen to work on residential and commercial projects, as well as, any creative jobs with a focus on design or visual culture.
Having spoken to the client/clients about their lifestyle, business, interests, needs, dislikes etc. and come to an agreement as to what they would like to achieve in the renovation or building process my concepts are usually drawn from relevant artistic or architectural movements.
I find this is helpful not only in grounding my designs within the historical context of an existing building or geographical area but it can also create an environment unique to the individual client or business. Working in this way helps me to work with colours, shapes and materials that feel cohesive to the identity of my clients and fosters a longevity and timelessness to my designs.
